On January 31, 2026, DTD participated in the Alliance Kory Hunter Middle School Community Kick-Off Resource Fair in Supervisorial District 2!

On January 31, 2026, DTD participated in the Alliance Kory Hunter Middle School Community Kick-Off Resource Fair in Supervisorial District 2. The fair offered free haircuts, toys, diapers, and hygiene products. There were also presentations on identifying substance abuse in adolescents and understanding immigration rights. DTD staff connected with over 50 participants to promote free Google IT Certificates and Learn Basic Tech Training opportunities in the community. Five individuals became DTD members, and four registered for the upcoming Learn Basic Tech Training. Through this event, many community members now have the tools needed to build and strengthen their tech skills.

DTD & Homeboy Industries’ Youth Re-Entry Program Laptop Distribution

On January 9, 2026, DTD distributed 28 laptops to participants of Homeboy Industries’ Youth Re-Entry Program in Boyle Heights!

On January 9, 2026, DTD distributed 28 laptops to participants of Homeboy Industries’ Youth Re-Entry Program in Boyle Heights, located in Supervisorial District 1. The Youth Re-Entry Program focuses on preventing high-risk, gang-affiliated youth from entering the adult prison system. Each year, Homeboy’s Youth Re-Entry Center serves approximately 100 formerly incarcerated or gang-involved youth, ages 14–24, providing comprehensive wraparound services such as mental health support, academic assistance, college preparation, and career readiness programs.

On January 31, 2026, Delete the Divide (DTD), in partnership with Fifth Sun Pictures, hosted an interactive professional development workshop for YMCA leadership at Torrance High School in Supervisorial District 4!

On January 31, 2026, Delete the Divide (DTD), in partnership with Fifth Sun Pictures, hosted an interactive professional development workshop for YMCA leadership at Torrance High School in Supervisorial District 4.  The session showcased practical uses of VR, AI tools, and wearable technology in youth education and workforce programming.  The workshop covered immersive learning theory, hands-on VR activities, AI and wearable tech demonstrations, and alignment with Career Technical Education pathways. Participants engaged with VR headsets, explored YouTube 360° environments, and tested Meta AI smart glasses to see how immersive tools support skill-building and digital equity. Twenty-five YMCA leaders took part with strong enthusiasm, supported by interns who ensured smooth technical operations. The event strengthened partnerships and positioned DTD and Fifth Sun Pictures as leaders in innovative, equity-focused learning technology across YMCA programs.

On June 22, 2024, Delete The Divide partnered with LA County’s Department of Children and Family Services. For its Fatherhood Festival at Magic Johnson Park. The event celebrated fathers and DTD Interns spoke with over 60 patrons about our program and our impact in the community.
