On January 31, 2026, Delete the Divide (DTD), in partnership with Fifth Sun Pictures, hosted an interactive professional development workshop for YMCA leadership at Torrance High School in Supervisorial District 4.  The session showcased practical uses of VR, AI tools, and wearable technology in youth education and workforce programming.  The workshop covered immersive learning theory, hands-on VR activities, AI and wearable tech demonstrations, and alignment with Career Technical Education pathways. Participants engaged with VR headsets, explored YouTube 360° environments, and tested Meta AI smart glasses to see how immersive tools support skill-building and digital equity. Twenty-five YMCA leaders took part with strong enthusiasm, supported by interns who ensured smooth technical operations. The event strengthened partnerships and positioned DTD and Fifth Sun Pictures as leaders in innovative, equity-focused learning technology across YMCA programs.
