DTD supported Supervisor Holly Mitchell’s Girls Empowerment Leadership Institute inaugural cohort and California Black Women’s Collective Empowerment Institute by assisting with the distribution of 40 iPads at Mount Saint Mary’s University. The Holly J. Mitchell Girls Empowerment Leadership Institute is a seven-month leadership academy designed to equip young Black girls with the skills, confidence, and networks needed to thrive in school, career, and life. The program invests in the next generation of black women leaders by promoting academic excellence, community leadership, and mentorship rooted in cultural pride.  DTD interns and Program Managers prepared the devices, ensured proper setup, and provided technical assistance throughout the event, equipping the participants with the tools they needed to begin their leadership journey.
