Following the resounding success of the Parent Institute event held at Mt. San Antonio College, organized by Delete The Divide, we reflect on the impactful day that brought together student parents from diverse backgrounds. On February 15, 2023, the DTC Building buzzed with energy as attendees engaged in a range of activities aimed at empowerment and resource access. The event, sponsored by Associated Students, CalWORKs, and CARE, epitomized our commitment to bridging the digital divide and fostering community resilience.

A highlight of the day was the keynote address delivered by Erica Alfaro, whose inspirational journey resonated deeply with student parents striving to balance education and family responsibilities. Our table at the event showcased program offerings, including pre-apprenticeship and small business connections programs, highlighting our commitment to digital equity and empowerment.
